About Windsor Oaks Academy

Windsor Oaks Academy is an award-winning continuation high school, serving students in Windsor, California.  Established in 1999, Oaks was created to help students graduate from high school in a small, caring environment.  Ever since its creation, Oaks has been known to be a school that truly cares about its students. In 2015, Oaks won the Model Continuation High School award for its excellent graduation rate. Starting in 2020, Windsor Oaks Academy became a big picture learning school, after piloting BPL for a few years. Now Oaks teachers work with their students on creating curriculum that is relevant to their lives, all the while making up credits so students can graduate from high school, college and career ready. In 2023 it was announced that Windsor Oaks would become part of Windsor High School.

VISION – Windsor Oaks Academy creates a place where students find comfort, confidence, community, and empowerment to pursue their future passions. Windsor Oaks Academy supports each student where they are individually, academically and holistically.

MISSION – Windsor Oaks Academy graduates are capable learners who pursue their interests, learn from mistakes, and collaborate with their community, creating for themselves more and better post-graduation opportunities.

Schoolwide Learner Outcomes – Students will:

1. Take ownership of their own learning to make school work for them.
2. Graduate high school empowered to live lives of their own design.
3. Articulate authentic post graduate options and can identify resources to pursue them.
4. Have pride in belonging to the WOA community.
