Windsor Oaks Academy is a part of Windsor High School, though it has staff members who only serve WOA. WHS Principal Danielle Buckman runs the program for Windsor Oaks.
Danielle Buckman was selected as the principal for WOA this year (2024-2025) and as the new WHS principal last year (2023-2024). This school year marks Danielle’s 12th year in the District, having taught for six of those years as a math teacher at Windsor High School. She served as the District’s Math Teacher on Special Assignment for two years, helping staff members implement new math standards and assisting students. Before becoming WHS’s Principal, she served as Assistant Principal at WHS for the 2022-2023 school year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in math, and she holds a single subject credential in math. She also has a master’s degree in education with an emphasis on Teaching and Learning and Instructional Leadership and Administration.
Danielle is passionate about education and looks forward to continuing to make WHS the best possible experience for all students, parents and community. Her goal is that every student feels seen, valued and knows they can be successful at Windsor High School. Students are welcomed and encouraged to stop by her office and say hi.
Danielle is a Windsor resident and Mom to daughter, Wyla. “My daughter Wyla is my world. I strive to be a positive role model for her and want her to always be proud of her mommy.”
“Danielle is a great example of why Windsor likes to take a “grow-your-own” mentality when it comes to our administrators,” said Director of HR Pete Sullivan. “She has grown professionally as a part of our District and evolved into the top position. In return we get a dedicated, experienced staff member who knows our District from bottom to top.”
